Current Mood: Cool

You know… sometimes life just seems to have a way with everything. Right now I’m not mentioning any names, but guys… that day with Barcelona and Nintendo 8-bit, meant everything to me. It was just lovely to gather around with old mates and have fun. Pure superb!

Not that this was enough, but today I saw my old (and I mean OLD) friend from mid 90’s. To break it down for you, it was my friend who used to “be Renato Tosio” when we were playing street hockey. Those were just great times and I will surely never forget it. All the things we did, all the things we did together… just brings tears to my eyes. “Mimo and Noni”

Also, I reserved my tickets for the exchange so I’m going 100%. I’m really looking forward to it, but just lately… I’ve been feeling really good about my life. Perhaps it’s because there hasn’t been any sort of need to think about stuff. Just being around, my friend calling me… whom I have to apologize for not answering :/ I have to admit that I’ve been really down the past few months and I couldn’t ask for anything more than her. She’s an angel… no doubt.

Anyway. Going on 1st of February. How ya like that?! Oh man, I can’t wait to take a break from all of this going on in Finland. Now, I will be missing my friends for sure, but seeing a whole another culture and being part of it… Whoa! Slovakia… Somehow a song from E-Type comes to my head: “Here we go again, it’s time for me to fade away. Here I go”

Oh man, I apologize for my absence… I’ve been meaning to update my blog, but I’ve just been lazy and unable to describe my feelings! I just want to go away for awhile and see what the world has to offer for me!

Current Mood: Cool & Esctatic & Grinning

Ah man, talk about mixed feelings!
So, the exchange has been confirmed by the school in Bratislava as well as my own school. So I’m definately going and I’ve been looking for flights now. No bookings as I want to see my options and a part of me always takes things with a certain caution and this case is no different. But the most likely flight I’m taking is on 1st of February. Here’s the schedule for it (all local times):

16:30 - 17:30 Oulu-Helsinki
18:55 - 20:30 Helsinki-München
21:05 - 22:10 München-Bratislava

Now as you can see it’s pretty tight even though there’s a 1,5 hour wait in Helsinki which I don’t mind really. Gives me time to grab some lunch before heading on and I won’t be able to get anything to eat before Bratislava, excluding the plane food.

I had a look at some flights with no return, but they were like 5 euros more expensive and the flight time in total was like 2 times more. Leaving at 7am and having a 8 hour hold in Helsinki, no thanks. So I think I’m going with this one… Though I have no idea what the people in Bratislava think. Do I have a tutor and will he/she be expecting me until how late. I mean it’s Friday night and all Sure I might be able to get to my accommodation on my own, but you never know and I don’t know how long the reception is open (Hotel Druzba).

However, my plan now is to give my Rovaniemi appartment away. Not give away as in I’m leaving the place for good, but the foundation owning the building have this option for exchange students going abroad to leave the floating option. So basically I will be giving the appartment away, but I will still retain an option to get an appartment back once I return, not necessarily the same one, but according to the foundation: “at least the same quality, size and location”
I will also pick up my mail as I haven’t seen them in the past 2-3 weeks now… Which reminds me, I received the acceptance letter from Comenius University. Well that’s no news, but I had a look at it and they had made me one year younger. Aye, I’m born in 1982 baby!
It also had the semester defined. It’ll go on from February to June 30th. Which just confirmed my plans. I will try to get to Vienna during the Euro2008 campaign

But I think that’s all for now. It’s 6am here… I didn’t sleep at all the night before so I fell asleep around 10pm last night and just woke up. Might as well do some school work now… Nothing to do at this hour really. A couple of Sopranos episodes might be good.

Oh, and of course no one forgets the Liverpool - Scum United game today! I don’t know about ya, but I’ve been a bit shaky the past couple of days
