45 year old modem
Some of us might remember the days when 33,6kbs was a superb speed for using the internet. Nowadays that feels extremely slow when the speeds are like 100 times faster. But Engadget.com reported today about a guy who found a 45 year old modem from his friend's widow's attic. She didn't need it so he got it and decided to try connecting it to the internet. Speed of this is 300 baud which isn't really comparable to modern speeds, but it's slow :D
Pretty interesting to see how slow the Wikipedia website loads even though the graphical elements are non-existent in this text-based version of a browser used:
